Ki Gong History and Training

Ki Gong is the study of universal energy and how we humans strive for healing, balance, and stress relief. An innumerable number of different martial, spiritual, and medical Ki Gong sets have been developed over centuries for the purpose of improving health and vitality. Practicing Ki Gong helps one live life with tranquility, joy, and inner and outer peace.

While Ki Gong is not a part of the regular World Tang Soo Do Association curriculum, many members of the Association practice the art on a regular basis.

​Ki Gong practice is conducted in an informal environment devoid of formal martial arts practices such as calling for attention and recognition of rank. When you join our class, we encourage you to enjoy practicing Ki Gong with an open mind. The Rocket City Academy of Karate's Ki Gong class invites the whole family to join, however we recommend it for adults and mature children, as young ones may lose interest.  

No uniform is needed; simply wear comfortable clothing. However, when attending classes in person, please wear a Rocket City Academy of Karate or Ki Gong t-shirt and loose black pants. Ki Gong t-shirts are available for purchase on the World Ki Gong website.

We recognize that states of health may differ significantly among participants. Students are encouraged to modify techniques, sit, and even stop practice if necessary. Resting areas will be provided.

World Ki Gong is dedicated to the development of Ki Gong for the benefit of all people. World Ki Gong shares a belief that our world needs the Ki Gong and that regular practice will lead to a healthier, more vibrant society. For more information, visit the World Ki Gong website.

It is not required to be a member of World Ki Gong to attend class. 

The class schedule is as follows: Fridays from 5:30-6:30 PM at our Huntsville studio only. For those who can't attend in person classes, Zoom classes are available for the same price. We encourage everyone to attend the class while learning basics. Every week you will receive additional information related to the study and learning of Ki Gong, class schedule, etc.
